Accessing Resources in Other Regions

If your organization operates in multiple regions (for example, US-East and EU-West), you may need to switch Sites to access specific applications or ensure optimal performance.

What You'll Learn

  • How to change your active Site
  • How Site selection affects available applications
  • How Site selection changes your network routing

Changing Your Site

Use the Site Selector dropdown in the top-right corner of the Launcher window to choose your active site.

Your selection persists across launches, so you don't need to change it every time you open Turbo Launcher.

Why this matters

The Site you select determines two key aspects of your environment:

1. Available Applications

Some applications are licensed or configured only for specific regions.

  • Example: The "Finance EU" application might only be visible when you have the UK or EU-West site selected.
  • Behavior: Switching sites automatically refreshes your Applications tab to show the apps available in that location.

2. Network Routing

The Site selection determines which secure gateway (proxy) your traffic uses.

  • Scenario: If you are traveling to the London office, select the UK site (if available).
  • Benefit: This ensures your connection goes through the local UK proxy (low latency) rather than backhauling traffic to your home office in another region.
