Turbo Server Release Notes

25.5.5.2866

The May 2025 Turbo Server release includes several major features:

  • New! Shell Integration workspace setting allows administrators to override the shell integration setting at a workspace level.
  • New! Concurrent Devices Per User limit for workspace applications allows administrators to set a per-user device limit for workspace applications.
  • New! Authentication Providers webpage allows administrators to configure multiple authentication providers for SSO login.
  • New! Peer-to-Peer Image Distribution feature allows clients to distribute images using P2P. The Hub must have image caching enabled and will seed cached images for P2P distributions.
  • New! Automatic image precaching setting under the domain server storage webpage allows administrators to control whether image caching on the Hub will include the AutoPrecache setting. The Turbo Client on the Hub will no longer have AutoPrecache enabled by default.
  • New! Server Services webpage allows administrators to diagnose and restart internal server services.

Other improvements include:

  • Domain Federation UI now provides the link to the status webpage after updating.
  • Import Repository now automatically prefixes the global repository namespace if the namespace is omitted. Entering xvm will default to /xvm.
  • Upgraded the VM version for improved anti-virus compatibility.
  • The Automatic resource allocation strategy now uses the next healthy application server using a round-robin algorithm.
  • The Internal Hostname or IP Address under the Domain Server setting was redundant and removed.
  • The update frequency expectations in the Check for Updates tooltip for workspace applications has been clarified.
  • Changing the Domain Federation settings will now trigger a sync immediately.
  • The integrated Windows authentication UI attempted to load the Domain Server settings on every page load. A fetch button replaces this behavior.
  • The Storage Provider tooltip on the Storage Connection webpage has been improved.
  • Added tenant restrictions for OpenID authentication, which had already existed for SAML.
  • The logout flow when using SSO authentication has been improved. The single-logout setting was removed and instead when the user logs out they will be redirected to login again with the option to select a different account under the current SSO authentication provider.
  • The Enable Assembly Cache workspace application setting tooltip has been improved.
  • Automatically stay logged in on the Portal website while the user is active within the range of the ticket expiration time.

This update includes fixes for the following issues:

  • The application session reported an incorrect duration for short sessions in the Application Sessions report.
  • The application session reported an incorrect duration when sending to ZAM in the OpenText SKU.
  • The Turbo AppServer service used an unquoted path.
  • The server diagnostics webpage returned a SqlDateTime overflow error under certain circumstances.
  • Broker memory settings incorrectly required the Hub role instead of the Portal role.
  • Web logins incorrectly used a 1 day timeout when logged in using SSO. It now uses the Ticket Expiration Time setting.
  • Hub import failed when the repository ID contained a period.
  • The Stay Signed In button on the Portal webpage navigated away from the current webpage.
  • The Stay Signed In button on the Portal webpage did not prevent logout of browser tabs other than the active tab.
  • Elastic deployments failed at the provisioning stage.
  • The Apache httpd.exe process failed to start after upgrading from older Turbo Server versions when the Proxy service is installed natively.
  • A memory leak occurred when generating server performance counters.
  • Turbo Drive Filr integration did not work against the latest Filr server.
  • Shared application launch links failed to redirect and launch after login.
  • Searching for files in the Portal Files tab failed to render correctly.
  • After installing the native proxy service using server.exe /install-services proxy, the proxy logs were incorrectly named proxy-apache_%Y.%m.%d.%h.log and failed to rotate.
  • Device-key authentication failed under certain conditions.

The November 2024 Turbo Server release includes several major features:

  • New! Per Workspace Appearance customization options, such as logo, background, favicon, and theme
  • Redesigned Home tab to improve user experience.
  • New! SAML 2.0 request signing enables signed authentication requests from the Portal to the identity provider for security compliance. The existing SAML settings have also been reorganized for improved clarity, with added claim name customization and tooltips.
  • New! SAML 2.0 attribute mapping adds more flexibility in identity provider integration
  • New! Federate Repositories setting federates all repositories from another Hub domain

Other new features include:

  • Login Placeholder setting sets the username placeholder for login forms
  • FavIcon setting customizes the favicon on the Portal
  • Updated Advanced page allows administrators to enable experimental features
  • README workspace setting shows a markdown description at the bottom of the dashboard Home tab
  • Applications Sort Order workspace setting customizes the display and installation ordering of workspace applications
  • Pull on Install application setting pulls the application to the local machine on install
  • File Associations now include more advanced configurations, such as targets and arguments
  • Team Dropbox connections are now supported
  • Guest Domain read-only access to Hub repositories can be enabled from the administration CLI
  • Anonymous Access to Hub repositories can be enabled from the administration CLI
  • Federation setting added to the Import Repository page to control whether the imported repository will federated updates from the source Hub

Other improvements include:

  • Additional Hub repository settings are now visible and have been reorganized for easier access

  • The repository Versions table now includes the user who added the image

  • Storage providers now support multiple storage connections. Additionally, the resource owner for the connection is now listed.

  • Storage Scopes are now linked to storage connections rather than storage providers, allowing more flexible storage scope configurations

  • Sensitive fields are now fully obfuscated for values under 12 characters on the administration site event reports

  • A warning is now displayed before synchronizing a directory service if domain identity federation is enabled, preventing conflicting identity sources and update failures. An audit report is created if the warning is bypassed.

  • Improved URL format consistency throughout the administration site

  • The workspace administration site tabs have been reorganized to improve user experience

  • The workspace application isolation and VM settings have moved their own pages

  • The File Isolation application setting now defaults to Inherit from Workspace when adding applications to a workspace

  • The workspace administration site breadcrumb now includes a link back to the workspace dashboard for improved navigation

  • The Download Turbo for Windows banner is now disabled by default

  • Web applications now support Install on My PC on the portal

  • The Hub now removes release tags from existing images when another image with the same release is pushed

  • Reduced unnecessary logging for certain Hub queries

  • Users who haven't used Turbo for 30 days are now marked as inactive, freeing up user license seats

  • Logs are now automatically archived every two weeks, and archives are deleted after one year. These parameters can be adjusted using the following command line settings:

    • logs-archive-interval: Controls the frequency of log archiving (default: 2 weeks)
    • logs-archive-purge-after: Sets the retention period for archived logs before deletion (default: 1 year)
  • Reorganized top-level admin settings for better navigation

  • Improved consistency in release sort order between VM repo page and workspace application page

  • Optimized Hub revisions query to improve performance and prevent timeouts during turbo pull operations

  • Added agent string for outbound Hub web requests

  • Added revision history input to the Repository federation form

  • Greatly improved Turbo Hub network output speed

  • Updated all vulnerable dependencies to their latest secure versions

  • Prevented potential JavaScript injection vulnerabilities

This update includes fixes for the following issues:

  • Administration site logins failed if the Hub server clock was changed to a future date then changed back
  • User activation behavior was inconsistent across login scenarios. Users are now activated on launch, not on login.
  • The administration site user Last Activity column has been renamed to Created
  • Fleets deployment server version matching was overly precise and failed to select the latest compatible server version
  • Performance reports incorrectly marked session handoffs as an error
  • Storage provider Test button failed to list error details for certain errors
  • Storage provider Test button occasionally reported a failure despite a successful operation
  • WIF data was not properly reported to ZAM server in certain circumstances, impacting the visibility of streamed applications in ZENworks reports
  • Certain workspace administration pages failed to load when using a self-signed certificate
  • Users were unable to set workspace application's Turbo VM to the latest version if they previously ran the application with an older VM
  • Application launches could fail to open files with the configured file association and close unexpectedly
  • Launching workspace applications with Check for Updates set to Never resulted in an image not found error if the image did not exist on the host machine
  • Session handoff failed when transitioning from Windowed to HTML5 client
  • Portal dashboard application status icon disappeared if a user disconnected then reconnected to the remote session
  • Drag-and-dropping icons in the dashboard Files tab resulted in unintended icon uploads
  • DRM errors could cause the HTML5 client to hang at "Launching application" indefinitely
  • HTML5 client close action erroneously displayed error details, even when the session closure was expected
  • Sensitive information was written to browser console logs in the HTML5 client
  • Hub failed to automatically update the image cache while federating from the Turbo.net Hub when using certain legacy image cache paths
  • The diagnostic flag failed to generate logs when using the HTML5 client
  • "Failed to Save Repository Settings" error was hidden at the bottom of the page
  • Directory Service > Items page showed Include all as enabled instead of the previously selected groups
  • Power Button was missing in HTML5 client under certain conditions
  • Switching a storage provider from per-user to global hid per-user connections
  • Administration site displayed errors for obscured inputs less than 3 characters
  • OneDrive Test button showed errors as [object Object]
  • Error page displayed the Administrator Email contact instead of the Support Link
  • Cloning /xvm resulted in missing releases
  • "An operations error occurred while synchronizing AD" occurred during AD synchronization under certain conditions
  • Refreshing the repository Versions page on Hub after pushing an image failed to load the page
  • Various Filr storage connection issues have been resolved
  • Hub database resulted in error state during unexpected server shutdowns
  • Session Logs custom date range did not properly filter logs
  • Domain Federation did not copy certain component layers
  • Pushing a large image to Hub caused subscriptions to fail to register/update while the image was caching
  • OpenText server installer file version was incorrect
  • Hub database only repaired one block at a time when pushing an image with missing blocks
  • Portal theme settings reset incorrectly under certain circumstances
  • Improved inconsistent page titles
  • Fleet commands failed when the fleet server was in an unexpected state
  • Download link for Turbo Client for Mac pointed to a deprecated URL

This update includes the following dependency updates:

  • Turbo Client has been updated to 24.9.6
  • Turbo VM has been updated to 24.10.17
  • Java has been updated to Temurin 21.0.4
  • Apache has been updated to 2.4.62
  • PsExec has been updated to 2.43

The October 2023 Turbo Server release includes several major features:

  • New! Storage Connections can now be created globally by administrators and made available to select user groups, allowing users to access shared files with no additional setup.

  • New! Workspace Storage Scopes create customizable, per-workspace views into storage provider connections.

  • New! Accepted Tenants restricts multi-tenant single sign-on (SSO) to a fixed set of tenants.

Other new features include:

  • External Database Connections allows servers from different cloud infrastructures or different tenants within the same cloud infrastructure to join a Turbo Server Domain
  • Concurrent Session Limit setting restricts the number of remote sessions that a user can run concurrently
  • Support Link setting that is displayed to users on error pages
  • New Turbo Server CLI command admin domain-federation sync triggers an on-demand domain federation synchronization
  • Check for Updates setting determines when application update checks are performed

Other improvements include:

  • The HTML5 Client copy & paste experience has been redesigned to provide a more seamless and intuitive experience
  • The HTML5 Client key states such as Num Lock are now synchronized on launch
  • Improved HTML5 Client error messaging for certain application launch failures
  • Web Application management has moved to the Server administration site under Hub. Configured web applications can be added to workspaces from the workspace administration site.
  • The Hub Images table now includes a Repository column instead of the Source column
  • Deleting a repository now deletes all associated workspace applications.
  • Turbo Server users are now considered Inactive when they are created through the administration site or federation. Inactive users do not consume user licenses until they login. Additionally, application launches will no longer be denied for users exceeding the Turbo Server license limits.
  • The Ticket Expiration Time and API Rate Limit inputs will now show the default value
  • Improved the Server Status display to more accurately reflect the state of provisioning servers
  • Dashboard Tabs settings have been expanded to further customize Portal dashboard tab visibility and default tab access
  • Improved performance of the Add Host Application dialog
  • Workspace applications are now created with isolation settings set to Inherit from Workspace
  • Applications launched from the Portal now immediately check for application updates if a new image has been pushed to the Hub
  • Improved the application server profile pool allocation strategy to be more performant during periods of high launch volume
  • Images pushed from Turbo Studio or the Turbo Client no longer set the icon padding or background color by default
  • Apache Proxy logs are now located in the installation path Logs folder and rotate based on date and size
  • The Turbo Server installer now provides the option for users to proceed even if the verification of the database connection fails
  • The Turbo Server installer now requires at least one role to be selected and provides additional information if a role is not available
  • Various minor text and visual improvements

This update includes fixes for the following issues:

  • Turbo Drive filesystem mounts could encounter errors performing certain folder operations, such as creating and renaming new folders or deleting and recreating non-empty folders
  • Turbo Drive overwrite and set file size operations incorrectly reported portions of the resulting file metadata, causing application errors in rare circumstances
  • The OneDrive Test button failed for multi-tenant configurations
  • The User Groups table item count was not accurate under certain circumstances
  • The Server diagnostics uptime did not display correctly for large values
  • The Advanced Testing page Auto server assignment option did not correctly distribute loads according to the resource allocation strategy
  • The Turbo Virtual Machine repository incorrectly reported federation settings
  • The Portal Files API leaked file handles under certain circumstances, leading to Portal errors over prolonged periods
  • The Turbo Server installer showed incorrect validation errors when navigating back and forth between pages
  • The Turbo Server command-line installer incorrectly installed as x86
  • Images pushed from Turbo Studio or the Turbo Client did not properly display an icon if the image only contained icons in ICO format

This update includes the following dependency updates:

  • Turbo Client has been updated to 23.10.12
  • Turbo VM has been updated to 23.9.13

23.6.6.1355

The June 2023 Turbo Server release includes several major features:

  • New! Fleets streamlines resource management by organizing groups of servers into a single management unit. Create on-premises fleets or use managed fleets that directly integrate with cloud infrastructures like Azure. Assign applications to fleets based on resource requirements.

  • New! Portal Dashboard design has been refreshed with a new Home tab that summarizes key applications and documents as well as new visuals.

  • New! (Beta) AI Chat feature allows end-users to talk with AI chatbots such as OpenAI's GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 directly within the workspace interface.

  • New! License Reservations feature allows licenses to be reserved for specific user groups during a configurable time period.

  • New! Web Applications are now a first-class application type that appear alongside other applications in the Portal. Web applications can open the client browser to an external site or launch within a virtualized browser environment. Web applications inherit the same management features as other application types.

Other new features include:

  • New! Initial Window State workspace application setting determines the initial window state when launching the application, such as full screen
  • New! Run as Administrator workspace application setting allows applications to launch the application with administrative privileges
  • New! VM Settings workspace and workspace application settings allow configuring advanced virtual machine runtime settings
  • Users now receive a warning notification if one of their storage provider connections fails to connect, which may result in a T: drive mount failure

Other improvements include:

  • Turbo Server has been upgraded to use .NET Framework 4.8. It is required to install .NET 4.8 before running the Turbo Server installer.
  • Server settings relating to storage have been moved to a new Storage tab
  • The Reboot Server button has been updated with a confirmation dialog and reboot status in the administration site diagnostics page
  • Session reports have been updated to report an error if the HTML5 client takes longer than expected to start
  • User Group Restrictions are now enforced on installed applications
  • The Hub Image Cache will now target the images subfolder, unless already specified, when referencing precached assemblies. This behavior is now consistent with the Turbo for PC client.
  • The Turbo Hub will now automatically populate the assembly cache and relevant metadata when an image is pushed to the Hub or when the image cache is updated.
  • Images will no longer be written to the image cache path if the image already exists
  • Improved performance of the Reports page for certain data sets
  • Improved Hub Server performance during periods of high launch volume
  • Improved service reliability when encountering SQL errors
  • Workspace application merge-user setting has been added to the administration CLI tool
  • Error messaging has been improved when providing an invalid license to the administration CLI tool
  • The Portal logs now use UTC time
  • The base and clean images have moved to windows namespace

This update includes fixes for the following issues:

  • Session reports did not accurately track session duration for HTML5 client sessions if the user closed the tab shortly after launch.
  • The Advanced Testing page could fail to override server assignments if the application was already running
  • Installed workspace applications with Inherit from Workspace isolation settings could fail to correctly inherit
  • In rare cases users could be automatically logged out of the Portal despite having a valid ticket
  • Channel selection could be lost when navigation to and from the Files tab

The January 2023 Turbo Server release includes several major features:

  • New Elastic Cloud feature allows deployment of Turbo application servers to your Azure tenant with a single click!

  • New Files API provides a unified programmable interface for browsing and managing connected storage providers. For more information, see the .

Other new features include:

  • New Launch on Install setting in the Workspace application settings allows applications to automatically launch upon installation on the device.
  • Workspaces can now be configured with default isolation and local user folder access settings. Workspace applications can inherit these settings from the workspace or specify application-specific settings.
  • JVM http(s) proxy settings can now be configured from the administration site
  • New Shell Integration settings provide fine-grained control over application interactions with the host device, such as shortcuts, file associations, and shell extensions
  • Azure Active Directory with OpenID Connect Single Sign-On integrations can now automatically connect OneDrive on login if the Azure application registration is configured to grant drive permissions
  • New /install-services and /uninstall-services commands unvirtualize the API and administration sites in order to workaround certain antivirus incompatibilities
  • Users now see a warning that their session is about to expire before being logged out automatically from the Portal

Other improvements include:

  • Improved default application launch performance by enabling the assembly cache by default
  • Expanded configuration options for workspace applications from the command line administrative tool
  • Added click and drag support to reorderable controls on the administration site
  • Added a Test action for file system storage providers on the administration site
  • Updated the default federation source to hub.turbo.net to eliminate redirects
  • Improved various error messages and text values

This update includes fixes for the following issues:

  • Certain AppLocker configurations caused the Turbo Server service to fail to start due to a VM incompatibility
  • Notifications could incorrectly show on top of the Notice and Consent dialog
  • Dashboard session icons could display an incorrect state after refreshing the dashboard
  • Install on My PC could incorrectly install the latest version when attempting to install an older version in certain circumstances
  • Active sessions could experience T: Drive connection failures if the user's ticket expired during the session
  • Attempting to disable repository federation could fail in certain scenarios
  • Performance reports failed to export correctly in CSV format
  • Repository imports that specified a release number did not prioritize exact matches and did not support prefix matching
  • Active Directory synchronized item selections could fail to save if the results exceeded 1000 items
  • License management pages do not load when an invalid or expired license was installed
  • Certain file operation errors could result in handle leaks on the Portal server
  • The Turbo Application Server service could take a long time to restart in certain circumstances
  • Large numbers of webhook subscriptions with undeliverable target URLs could result in poor server performance
  • Turbo services could become unresponsive and fail to recover in rare circumstances

22.9.25.705

The September 2022 Turbo Server release includes several major features:

  • New! SMB Network Share Storage Type brings SMB and local file system folders to Turbo Drive. This release also introduces per-user and shared storage modes. Users may access their files from the Portal dashboard and the T: Drive.

  • New! Analyst User Role grants read-only permission the administration site Reports page.

  • Performance Reports now show launch diagnostic information, client launch performance, and additional launch details such as the Windows user and application server.

Other new features include:

  • New server dashboard Alerts table lists important status alerts such as server health warnings
  • New server dashboard Pending and Recent Changes tables list server setting changes that have been saved but have not yet been applied to the server, or have been applied to the server recently
  • New server diagnostics Operations table lists all Turbo service operations and their last know status
  • The administration site Reports now support search and filters
  • Workspace applications now support server assignments that restricts the application servers to which the application workload can be assigned based on server tags.

Other improvements include:

  • User and device license usage can now be viewed in the administration site
  • URL handlers can now be edited and reordered
  • The server Sessions table now displays Turbo usernames
  • Required form fields on the administration site now have visual indicators
  • Improved administration site performance
  • Internal users can no longer be created using the same username and password
  • Improved support for SAML 2.0 SSO Logout URLs
  • Default T: Drive mount paths now use the storage provider name instead of the storage provider type
  • Application servers that are online but fail to service application workloads due to certain unrecoverable errors will stop accepting application workloads until the error is resolved. These errors can be viewed in the new Alerts table on the server dashboard.
  • Images pushed to the Hub are now immediately pulled onto the application servers if the repository has pre-cache enabled.
  • Reduced Hub memory usage and improved performance
  • Turbo Server installer now checks version compatibility earlier in the install process when installing non-Hub roles
  • Turbo Server installer now checks for a minimum disk space requirement
  • Improved readability of server administration CLI help text
  • Improved various error messages, form validations, and text values

This update includes fixes for the following issues:

  • Session handoffs could result in multiple application windows for certain applications
  • Session handoffs could cause a maximized application to became minimized
  • Session handoffs to the HTML5 client could result in the Session Closed splash appearing slower than expected.
  • Mac client login dialog did not support UPN logins for applications with Ask authentication in certain environments
  • Session Disconnect and Close actions failed on certain server configurations
  • Portal dashboard application icons did not show the disabled state correctly on certain devices
  • Audit reports were missing for some server settings
  • Importing repository releases from the administration site could redirect the page before the import completed
  • Very large log archives failed to download
  • Directory service synchronization could fail to add nested group memberships
  • Directory service synchronization could fail after changing the top directory
  • Directory service synchronized items search could reset the selected items
  • Directory service synchronized items search could fail for certain group filters
  • Directory service synchronized item selections reset the scroll position
  • Add Native Application dialog could fail to load if there were a large number of native applications
  • SAML 2.0 SSO logins could fail if both nameID subject and nameidentifier claims were sent with different values
  • Long administration console URLs were cutoff in the Turbo Server installer

The June 2022 Turbo Server release includes several major features:

  • New! Federation Sources tab provides a single location to configuration federating Hubs. Federation sources can then be referenced during workspace or repository import, simplifying setup and assuring consistent synchronization across subdomains.

  • New "Toast" Notification Display Type allows notifications to display as a toast message on the Portal dashboard.

  • Application launch performance reports are now available on the Reports area. Performance reports provide detailed performance metrics that can help identify and resolve performance issues.

Other new features include:

  • Support for both single- tenant and multi-tenant OneDrive application registrations
  • Support for the Filr storage provider in the Files view
  • New Pre-Cache repository setting caches repositories on application servers immediately, providing a faster first launch experience

Other improvements include:

  • T: Drive now resumes incomplete file uploads the next time the user connects to a session
  • Temporary files no longer show in the Portal file browser
  • Improved usability of the workspace and channel Add Permissions dialogs
  • Improved validation on the URL handlers page
  • Reduced Turbo Server installer size by moving the embedded SQL database to a separate download
  • Reduced Turbo Server log file size
  • Connecting the same storage provider multiple times now shows an error message
  • Creating storage provider integrations with the same name now shows an error message
  • Improved detection and renewal of expired cloud storage access tokens
  • Improved various visuals and text

This update includes fixes for the following issues:

  • OpenID Connect SSO login could fail if the account did not contain an email claim
  • A redirect loop could occur if an SSL domain URL was configured to a load balancer that pointed to a non-SSL web service root
  • Session handoff incorrectly created a second application window in certain circumstances.
  • Scrollbars were incorrectly displayed in the HTML5 client for certain browser zooms and DPI scaling settings
  • User search by full name was failing to return results
  • Changing the date range on a paginated table could result in no results being displayed
  • The Turbo service was incorrectly restarting when changing application server tags
  • Workspace URL handlers were not copied during workspace replication
  • Custom workspace link icons were incorrectly counted towards the API rate limit
  • Domain server graphs rendered incorrectly for certain data sets

22.4.24.328

The April 2022 Turbo Server release includes several major new features:

  • New! HTML5 File Browser lets users browse, open, and edit files directly within the Portal web interface. Users can easily interact with any connected T: drive storage provider via an associated Turbo application.

  • New! File Associations can be added from the administration site to configure how users open or edit files from the file browser.

Other new features include:

  • New API Rate Limit setting allows administrators to configure the maximum number of API requests allowed per IP address per second.
  • New HTML5 client Remember Me option and an Authentication user settings page allow users to remember their login credentials when launching cloud applications.
  • New Read-Only Administrator workspace permission role grants read access to workspace administration APIs.
  • Active Sessions may now be viewed and managed from the application server dashboard.
  • The Portal Client Download Banner may now be disabled.

Other improvements include:

  • Improved Reports page load performance for large data sets.
  • Improved administration site performance while the Hub is loading.
  • Workspace Application Version and VM Version settings are now dropdowns.
  • Improved URI Validation and default scheme for various administration URI inputs.
  • Enabled the User Profile Cache by default.
  • Improved server logs with additional diagnostic information.
  • Improved various visuals and text.

This update includes fixes for the following issues:

  • The Portal server administration link was incorrect in certain domain configurations.
  • The Portal workspace channel dropdown was missing from the root Portal URL if exactly one workspace existed.
  • Reconnecting to an existing application session could fail when specifying server tag restrictions.
  • The HTML5 client file browser did not load correctly if the user logged in using certain Windows username formats.
  • Cloud application launches could fail to use a newly added application version under certain circumstances.

This minor update patch release includes removal of a UI component that is vulnerable to a security exploit.

This code was unused and does not impact functionality in any way. Update to this patch release is strongly recommended.

The May 2020 Turbo Server release introduces a new file browser with drag and drop support to the Turbo HTML5 client.

This release also introduces support for F5 and other stateless load balancers, allowing greatly increasing scaleability.

  • Turbo Server now uses 64-bit Java. The default Java heap size is increased from 1GB to 2GB.
